I Still Have a Lot to Show and Improve On – Mo Kudus Reflects After Superb Spurs Debut

Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus says his best is yet to come after making his dazzling Tottenham Hotspurs Premier League debut in their 3-0 win over Burnley on the opening weekend of the 2025/26 season.

The 24-year-old attacker, who joined Spurs this summer from West Ham United, lit up the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a two-assist performance, setting up Richarlison for a brace before being substituted to a standing ovation in the 86th minute.

Speaking after the game, Kudus was grateful for the warm reception from the fans but insisted he has much more to offer.

This is just the beginning. I still have a lot to show and a lot to improve on,” he said. “I’m happy to help the team get the three points, but I know I can do even more in the games ahead.”

Kudus also revealed how the home crowd inspired him throughout the match, particularly in attacking situations.

The chants from the fans motivate and encourage me whenever I’m on the ball,” he explained. “Especially in one-v-one situations, you feel that energy from the stands pushing you to take on your man and make something happen.”

The Ghana international had already featured for Spurs in midweek during their UEFA Super Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Italy, but his league debut was the perfect way to announce himself to the Spurs fans.
