Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana made his first appearance for the national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier game against Mali in Bamako.

Ibrahim Sulemana was brought on by head coach Otto Addo in the 88th minute to replace Salis Abdul Samed at Stade 26 Mars.

Ghana was able to get back to winning form after a mixed start in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers, with one win and one loss in their first two matches. The campaign began with a 1-0 victory over Madagascar in Kumasi, but the team then suffered a 1-0 defeat to Comoros in Moroni.

This evening, Ghana was able to secure a 2-1 victory over Mali, with goals from Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew giving the away side the win.

Following the victory, Ghana will face the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Sulemana’s debut appearance is a positive sign for the future of the Ghanaian national team, and fans will be eager to see how he performs in future matches.
