Former Black Stars defender Isaac Vorsah has urged the current Ghana national team and technical staff to remain focused and work hard to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Vorsah during an exclusive interview with The BAC Sports, where he shared his thoughts on Ghana’s football future and the importance of hard work.
The Black Stars have the talent, but they must work hard, the players, the team, and the technical bench to qualify for the next World Cup and make a name for the country, Vorsah said.
Vorsah, who was part of Ghana’s historic 2010 World Cup squad that reached the quarterfinals, emphasized that qualifying alone is not enough, the team must prepare to perform and leave a lasting impact on the global stage.
He also took the opportunity to advise young footballers in Ghana, stressing that consistency and dedication are key to making it in the modern game.
To the young players in Ghana, the only way to succeed is to train hard and stay consistent, he noted.
Reflecting on his own career, Vorsah highlighted how much the game has changed financially.
During our time, the money in football wasn’t like what we see today, he said, adding that young players today have more opportunities if they remain disciplined and committed.
