Hearts of Oak midfielder, Kwesi Asmah, has expressed his excitement and pride after joining the Ghanaian football giants, calling it a dream fulfilled for any young footballer in the country.

In an interview with Accra-based Original FM, Asmah, who joined the Phobians this season from Division One side Na God FC, spoke about what it means to wear the famous rainbow jersey.

It’s every child’s dream to play for either Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak,” Asmah said. “I feel great playing for Hearts of Oak. I feel happy to be here because one day, I can look back and proudly say I played for this historic club.

The energetic midfielder also highlighted the immense exposure and recognition that comes with representing one of Ghana’s most storied clubs.

One benefit of playing for a club like Hearts of Oak is that it gives you prominence, exposure and popularity because the stage is big, he added.

Since making the move from Na God FC, Asmah has been working to establish himself in the Hearts of Oak midfield, contributing to the team’s efforts in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
