Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has reaffirmed his commitment to the Ghana national team, stating that it is always “an honour” to receive a call-up.

The Bournemouth attacker emphasized that the only circumstance that would prevent him from representing Ghana is injury.

Speaking to Joy Sports after Ghana’s recent international break, Semenyo expressed his pride in wearing the national colors.

I always want to be part of the national team. I feel like the only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, of course, but I always try to make myself available. I always want to play for the nation. It’s been a dream of mine from a young age, so anytime I get called up is an honour.

Semenyo was among Ghana’s scorers in their emphatic 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.

His goal added to an impressive international record, having now made 27 appearances for the Black Stars and has scored three goals for the Black stars of Ghana in all competitions.
