Karela United Coach Vows to Compete Fearlessly Despite Tough Oppositions
Karela United head coach, Amadu Nurudeen, says his side will show no fear as they prepare to face some of the biggest names in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The Pride and Passion boys are aiming for a strong campaign after narrowly escaping relegation last term, and Nurudeen believes the team must approach every fixture with focus and determination.
Speaking to Graphic Sports, the coach acknowledged the quality and pedigree of some of the league’s traditional giants.
Clubs like Medeama SC, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will surely present us with a lot of problems because of their experience and quality,” he admitted.
However, he was quick to emphasize that his players will not be intimidated.
But we are not going to underestimate or over-respect anyone. We will prepare to play every team with the same seriousness,” he stressed.
Nurudeen was speaking ahead of their Matchday 3 encounter against Medeama SC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale on Sunday.
The visitors have enjoyed a perfect start to the campaign, winning both of their opening fixtures, scoring six goals and conceding none.
Karela endured a difficult campaign last season, surviving the drop by the slimmest of margins. With a new season underway, Nurudeen insists the lessons from that experience will drive the team to push harder and compete on equal footing with all opponents.
