Know the Match Officials Appointed for Ghana Premier League Matchday 2

The Ghana Football Association’s Referees Appointments Committee has named match officials for Matchday 2 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The round of fixtures begins on Friday, September 19, 2025, with defending champions Medeama SC hosting Vision FC at the TNA Stadium. Experienced referee Daniel Laryea will take charge of the game, assisted by Roland Addy and Emmanuel Dolagbanu, with Hassim Yakubu serving as the fourth official. Eugene Akornor has been appointed as match commissioner.

On Saturday, September 20, Hohoe United will welcome Young Apostles to the Hohoe Sports Stadium under the supervision of referee Robert Musey, supported by assistants Mary Tei and Isaac Odoom. George Effah Sodjonu will act as the fourth referee, while Egbert Laryea oversees the match as commissioner.

Elsewhere the same day, Eleven Wonders FC take on Hearts of Lions at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex. The match will be officiated by Jacob Aduntera, with Ali Timuna Baah and Peter Dawsa as assistants. Juliet Appiah has been assigned as fourth referee, with Samuel Gyasi as match commissioner.

The bulk of fixtures will be played on Sunday, September 21. FC Samartex 1996 host Karela United at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena with Maxwell Hanson in the centre, supported by assistants Doris Essuman Darko and Richard Nartey. Rejoice Addokwei is the fourth referee, with Emmanuel Asante serving as match commissioner.

At the Swedru Stadium, Swedru All Blacks face Berekum Chelsea. The game will be handled by referee Franklin Akumatey, assisted by Alice Farizua and Ernest Akatey, with Rita Boateng Nkansah as the fourth referee and Gabriel Nkum as commissioner.

In Dormaa, Aduana FC battle Nations FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park. The referee will be Laud Nettey, with George Akisiboka and Minkaa-Il Fauzan as assistants. Barikisu Salifu has been appointed as fourth referee and Awudu Dzang as match commissioner.

Bechem United meet Basake Holy Stars at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. The centre referee is Gideon Nii-Cofie, supported by assistants Sulemana Salau Deen and Halilu Alhassan. Foster Bastiours will be the fourth referee, with Richard Iddrisu acting as commissioner.

The Baba Yara Stadium will host one of the biggest fixtures of the weekend as Asante Kotoko take on Bibiani Gold Stars. David Addaney will referee the encounter, assisted by Patricia Kyeraa and Kenneth Tweneboah-Kodua. Ayaaba Ibrahim is the fourth referee, while Ali Plato serves as commissioner.

The final fixture of Matchday 2 comes on Monday, September 22, when Dreams FC welcome Hearts of Oak to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex. Veteran referee William Agbovi will be in charge, supported by assistants Abraham Partey and Joseph Teye Awasabi. The fourth referee is Theophilus Antwi Sekyi, with Thomas Nunoo acting as match commissioner.
