Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have bolstered their attack with the acquisition of Morifing Donzo, a 27-year-old forward from Guinea, on a three-year contract.
The powerful striker arrives from Hafia FC, pending a successful work permit approval. Donzo brings continental pedigree to Kumasi, having featured in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
At 1.82m tall, Donzo is known for his physical presence, explosive pace, and flexibility in attack. Although he prefers the central role, his ability to play on either flank gives Kotoko more tactical options ahead of the new season.
In his first interview with the club, Donzo expressed his long-standing desire to wear the red jersey.
I wanted this move last season, but timing didn’t work out. Thankfully, it has now,” he said. “Friends like Amos Frimpong, Mohamed Camara, and Ablorh have all spoken highly of Kotoko, and I’m happy to finally be here.
