Kudus Charged with Violent Conduct After Red Card Incident Against Tottenham Hotspur

West Ham midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has been charged by the FA with violent conduct following his red card during the weekend’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Kudus was sent off after an altercation in which he shoved Spurs defender Micky Van de Ven in the face, an action that initially earned him a yellow card but was upgraded to a straight red following a VAR review.

The Football Association (FA) confirmed the charge, and Kudus now faces a potential lengthy suspension in addition to the standard three-match ban for a straight red card.

If found guilty of violent conduct, the Ghanaian star could be sidelined for a more extended period, dealing a significant blow to West Ham’s upcoming fixtures.

In addition to Kudus’ charge, both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have also been charged by the FA for failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in a proper manner during the heated exchange.

The FA’s statement highlighted that both teams failed to prevent their players from behaving in an “improper and provocative” manner during the incident.

The parties involved have until Thursday, October 24, to respond to the charges. If West Ham and Kudus accept the charge or are found guilty, it could lead to further repercussions for the club and the player.

This disciplinary issue has added tension to what was already a fiercely contested match between the two London rivals, and it remains to be seen how the clubs and players involved will respond to the FA’s charges.
