Sudan head coach James Kwasi Appiah has emphasized the importance of resolving the Black Stars’ captaincy situation to ensure team unity and success.

Speaking in an interview with Luv FM, Appiah highlighted that Ghana has a squad filled with quality players but stressed that internal divisions over leadership roles could hinder progress.

If they are able to sort out [Black Stars captaincy], it will help because we have quality players,” Appiah said. “I hope we try and sort it out to make sure there is no division in the team, as without unity, you cannot achieve anything.

His comments come amid ongoing debates over the leadership structure of the Ghana national team, with concerns that uncertainty over the captaincy could impact performance on the international stage.

Appiah, who previously coached the Black Stars, is well aware of the challenges that come with managing leadership disputes within the squad. His remarks serve as a call for swift resolution to ensure harmony within the team as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
