Legon Cities Coach Samuel Kwasi Fabin Reflects on Defeat to Karela

Legon Cities head coach, Samuel Kwasi Fabin, admitted his team’s shortcomings following their 2-0 loss to Karela United at the University of Ghana Stadium.

In a candid post-match assessment, Fabin acknowledged that his side deserved the defeat.

“We didn’t come to the party against Karela United and we deserve to lose,” Fabin said.

The defeat marks Legon Cities’ third loss in four games, leaving them rooted at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with just one point.

Karela United took control of the game early on, applying constant pressure that Legon Cities struggled to cope with.

Karela’s relentless attack paid off as they found the back of the net twice, leaving the hosts with little chance to respond.

Fabin’s men appeared disjointed, lacking the energy and cohesion needed to challenge their opponents.

Coach Samuel Kwasi Fabin didn’t hold back on his disappointment with the team’s performance. “We were second to every ball, lacked the intensity, and didn’t follow our game plan. It’s frustrating to see because we know we are capable of better,” he remarked.

Fabin also acknowledged the growing pressure on the team as they continue to struggle. “At this point, we can’t make excuses. We have to face the reality of the situation. It’s up to us to get things right on the training ground and turn this around.”
