Renowned sports journalist and contributor to Inside the Ghana Premier League, Felix Romark, has pinpointed Kpando Hearts of Lions as strong contenders for the Ghana Premier League title this season.

According to Felix, the club’s consistency, particularly at their Kpando fortress, coupled with their impressive away form, sets them apart as a team with championship potential.

Speaking during his review of matchday 13, Romark emphasized the importance of maintaining dominance at home to secure league success.

“If you want to win the Ghana Premier League, you need to make your home a fortress,” he said. “Lions have shown consistency and form at Kpando, and it’s paying off.”

He further highlighted their remarkable away performances, noting the resilience they’ve displayed this season.

“With the way they’re playing away from home, they’ve become so difficult to beat. In seven away games, they’ve picked up six wins. Their only defeat came against Karela,” Felix explained. “They’ve picked crucial points at home venues of teams that are also title contenders. These are signs of a team that wants to win the Ghana Premier League.”

Felix also referenced Samartex, the reigning champions, who set the benchmark last season by losing only once at home. According to him, the Lions are following a similar trajectory.

Hearts of Lions’ consistency has been evident in their 13 matches so far, where they’ve recorded six wins, six draws, and only one loss. Their disciplined performances have earned them a place at the top of the league table, tied on 24 points with Bibiani GoldStars, another title contender.
