Ghana’s Mary Boakye has qualified for the final of the women’s 100m at the 2023 African Games currently underway in Accra.
She finished in third position with a time of 11.64 in semifinal 3.
In that semifinal heat, Gambia’s Gina Bass came first, finishing with a time of 11.37 seconds.
Benedicta Kwartemaa and Hor Halutie failed to make the final after finishing 5th and 4th in the semifinal 1 and 2 respectively.
Olayinka Olajide and Tiana Eyakpobeyan, all from Nigeria dominated semifinal 1 and 2 respectively, finishing in first positions.
