Mohammed Kudus Receives Additional Ban and a Fine for Violent Conduct in Tottenham Game

West Ham attacker, Mohammed Kudus has been handed a two-match ban and fined £60,000 following his involvement in an incident classified as violent conduct during a recent match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ghanaian international, who initially received a three-match suspension for a red card in the same game, has now received additional punishment after review.

Kudus has already missed two games as part of his original suspension, sitting out West Ham’s 2-1 win over Manchester United and their subsequent 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. With this new ruling, he will remain unavailable for selection for the next three games.

The incident, which occurred during a heated encounter with Tottenham, saw Kudus clash with an opposing defender, Micky Van de Ven leading to the red card. The FA deemed his actions to warrant further sanctions, citing the severity of the incident.

This latest development marks a setback for Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax last season and quickly made an impact with his energetic and skillful play. His absence will be keenly felt by the Hammers, who rely on his creativity and drive in midfield and in wide areas.

West Ham have not issued an official statement on the additional ban and fine, but Kudus has expressed disappointment over the incident and is eager to move past it. With key matches approaching, the Hammers will hope to have Kudus back soon, fully focused and committed to helping his team in the Premier League.
