The MTN FA Cup has reached the quarter final stage with eight teams gearing up for a place in the last four.
Holders Dreams FC, Nsoatreman, Skyy FC, Karela United, Bechem United, Bofoakwa Tano, Legon Cities and Soccer Intellectuals are the remaining teams to battle it out on Easter weekend, beginning tomorrow, 30th March.
The first game of the quarter finals will see Karela United travel to the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre to take on Nsoatreman. This game is slated for Saturday, 30th March at 3pm.
On Sunday, Bofoakwa Tano will host Division one side Skyy FC at the Sunyani Coronation Park. Bofoakwa will seek to put their bad league record behind them and triumph over the Division one side to book a place in the semis.
At same time, Legon Cities will welcome Bechem United to the Theater of Dreams in Dawu, to settle the scores for a slot in the last four.
The form guide has been identical for both teams in recent games. They have both won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Dreams FC’s clash with Soccer Intellectuals has been postponed to a later date due to the former’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams have traveled to Mali’s capital, Bamako, to take on Stade Malien in the quarter final of the Confederation Cup which will be played on Sunday, 31st March.
As a result, their encounter with Soccer Intellectuals will have to be played on a different date yet to be determined by the MTN FA Cup Committee.
The FA Cup matches mean that the GPL is put on hold and will return next weekend.
