Nsoatreman Cruises to CAF Confederation Cup Second Round After a Resounding Aggregate Scoreline Over Elect Sport
Nsoatreman FC have advanced to the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup after securing a comprehensive 5-0 aggregate victory over Elect Sport of Chad.
The Ghanaian FA Cup champions laid the groundwork for their success in the first leg, defeating their opponents 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend.
In the return leg staged in Yaoundé, Walid Fuseini opened the scoring in the first half before Stephan Diyou sealed the deal with a late goal to secure a 2-0 win.
The victory ensures Nsoatreman’s progression to the next round, where they will face either Police FC of Rwanda or Constantine of Algeria. The tie is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2024.
Before their continental adventure resumes, Nsoatreman will be involved in the Ghana Premier League, kicking off their campaign against Young Apostles on September 6.
This is a historic moment for Nsoatreman FC, who are making their debut appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup. Their impressive performance against Elect Sport has set the tone for what could be a successful continental campaign.
