Nsoatreman FC have secured a place in this year’s MTN FA Cup final after beating Legon Cities 2-1 in the first semi-final tie at the Sogakope WAFA Park on Saturday, May 11.

The game began with both sides being cautious, and not wanting to commit very early in the tie.

This led to minimal goal scoring chances in the opening half an hour.

However, Nsoatreman asserted themselves afterwards, scoring two goals in quick succession.

Foster Apetorgbor and 23-year old, Eric Osei Bonsu scored on the 35th minute and 38th minute respectively to give the Nsoatre-based club a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.

Legon Cities fought hard to salvage something from the game after the recess.

They got a consolation goal which came in the 60th minute through 21- year old William Adjei.

With 30 minutes left to play, Cities pushed and pressed for an equalizer that proved elusive.

Nsoatreman has an opportunity to grab a silverware this season and a route to Africa when they come face to face with the winners of the second semi-final tie between Dreams FC and Bofoakwa Tano in the final.
