Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has underscored the importance of improved team chemistry as Ghana pushes for qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite securing dominant victories against Chad and Madagascar in the recent qualifiers, Addo believes there is still room for growth.

The 49-year-old led Ghana to a commanding 5-0 win over Chad and a 3-0 triumph against Madagascar during the March international window. These victories ended the team’s six-game winless streak and propelled them to the top of Group I with 15 points, three ahead of second-placed Comoros.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Addo acknowledged the team’s progress but emphasized the need for better synergy.

We have certain areas where we can always improve. We had a solid defense and scored a lot of goals [against Chad and Madagascar].

But the connection has to be much stronger, especially in the second game against Mali, which will be very tough. If we continue like this, we will be successful. He said

With four matches remaining, the Black Stars are in a strong position to secure a place at the World Cup.
