Samartex have completed the signing of Baba Kushibo from Real Tamale United (RTU).

The Ghana Premier League champions continue to fortify their squad in preparation for the upcoming season and their CAF Champions League debut.

The capture of experienced Baba Kushibo from relegated Real Tamale United (RTU) adds depth and leadership to the Samartex camp who have lost key players from last season.

Kushibo joins his former RTU teammate, Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli, who signed with Samartex earlier in the transfer window.

This reunion could prove beneficial, as the existing understanding between the two players can translate into a smooth integration into the Samartex attack.

Kushibo brings a wealth of experience to the table, having served as RTU’s captain during the 2023/24 season.

While his 4 goals couldn’t prevent his team’s relegation, his leadership qualities and understanding of the Ghanaian game are valuable assets for the Samreboi-based side.

Baba Kushibo was part of the Northern Star team that played against the All Star team in the All Star game during the All Star Festival 2024 at the Alui Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

With the league season kicking off on September 6th and the CAF Champions League campaign looming, Samartex is building a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts.

Fans of the champions will be eager to see how Kushibo integrates into the team and contributes to their quest for success.
