There is still a long way to go – Bibiani Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso on GPL title ambitions

Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso is choosing humility despite his team’s impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League.

The Gye Nyame lads remain unbeaten after eight matches, with five victories and three draws to their name.

Their latest triumph was a surprising win over Hearts of Oak at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday during match week eight.

This victory secures GoldStars’ position at the top of the table with 18 points from eight matches.

“We will continue to work hard to get the results. Now the results are coming, and if we can maintain that performance, we still need to work hard,” Manso said after the game.

“We are going into the ninth week, so we still have a long way to go.

“I don’t have to put pressure on myself at this time. It is too early to be thinking about that.”

Samuel Attah Kumi was the hero of the match, scoring the decisive goal in the 69th minute after Hamza Issah missed a crucial penalty for Hearts of Oak.
