We Must Stay Focused in Qualifying Journey – Otto Addo

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has urged his players and supporters to remain calm and focused as Ghana prepares for its next round of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the team’s training camp, Addo stressed the need for patience and consistency in the campaign.

We are in a good situation and I hope that we can do everything to qualify. We have to take it step by step, we can’t make a mistake. A lot of people are talking about the World Cup already, but it’s still a long way,” he said.

Ghana will face Chad on Matchday 7 on September 4 before hosting Mali on Matchday 8, on September 8, 2025. Addo underlined that the immediate priority is the Chad encounter.

The next is the focus on the Chad game and I hope that we can win,” he added.

The Black Stars are currently well-placed in their qualifying group and will open camp in Accra on September 1, with training scheduled to begin the same day.
