Asante Kotoko head coach Kaeim Zito is leaving nothing to chance ahead of his side’s crucial Ghana Premier League Matchday 32 clash with Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday, May 25.

Scheduled for a 15:00 GMT kick-off at the DUN’s Park, the encounter could have a major say in the 2024/25 title race.

Zito, who has maintained an unbeaten run since taking charge, admitted the magnitude of the task ahead, praising the strength of their opponents and the challenge of playing away.

The approach will be very serious, but we should admit it; we are going to meet one of the best teams in the league on Sunday, he said.

They are very good and they have more advantage by playing at home, so it doubles our task in meeting them, so we are preparing towards that.

His caution is well-founded. Asante Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table with 54 points, tied with third-placed Heart of Lions. Bibiani GoldStars are just ahead in second place with 56 points, while Nations FC lead the standings with 57 points.

With only three games left, the title race remains wide open, and a single result could drastically reshape the top-four picture.

The Porcupine Warriors know a win in Bibiani would be a huge boost to their title hopes. However, GoldStars are unbeaten at home this season and boast one of the best defensive records in the league, having conceded just 19 goals.
