Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco right-back Achraf Hakimi has been named the Best African International Footballer at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards.
Hakimi played a key role in PSG’s historic quadruple-winning season, which included triumphs in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the French Super Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. He capped off the season in style by scoring in the final of the Champions League, helping PSG to a dominant 5-0 win over Inter Milan.
The Moroccan star edged out stiff competition from Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy to claim the prestigious continental accolade.
This award recognizes Hakimi’s outstanding contributions to both club and country over the 2024/25 season, solidifying his reputation as one of the finest African talents in world football.
