Spain midfielder Rodrigo Hernández Cascante was honored as the Player of the Tournament at the 2024 European Championship, after beating England 2-1, at the Olympiastadion, in Berlin.
The Manchester City player played in six of La Roja’s seven matches, leading to their victory in the final on Sunday, July 14.
The 28-years old midfielder was substituted at halftime in the final after sustaining an injury just before the break.
Rodri started all six games he played and scored in Spain’s 4-1 win against Georgia in the round of 16.
Having already won the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and a fourth successive Premier League title in 2023/24, Rodri has added a Euro 2024 medal and, now, this outstanding individual award.
