Asante Kotoko’s communications director, Sarfo Duku, Esq, has provided an update on the club’s security concerns, noting that while several issues raised have been addressed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), but the installation of CCTV cameras was not mentioned in their discussions.
Mr. Duku expressed satisfaction with the progress made by the GFA, regarding security and safety measures at match venues. However, he pointed out that a crucial aspect of surveillance, CCTV cameras, was not included in the recent discussions.
“Some of the issues that we raised have been resolved. So far, those on security and safety, we are okay, except that they never mentioned the CCTV cameras,” Duku stated.
He also emphasized that Kotoko will not be pressured into resuming any football activities or matches in the Ghana Premier League, under undue influence. “So I believe that we will not be pushed or obliged to restart the league due to pressure from any quarters,” he added.
