Heart of Lions striker Abednego Tetteh has called on the government to cancel the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview with Lawson FM on Wednesday, February 26, the experienced forward suggested that all officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should be dismissed.
Tetteh also recommended that the government take over the management of the local league.
“The government should cancel the league and remove everyone at the FA. They should be investigated. The government should take control of the League,” Abednego said.
Tetteh’s comments came after the Ghana FA announced that the suspended Ghana Premier League season would resume in March.
The suspension followed violent clashes during the Week 19 match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko, which resulted in the tragic death of an Asante Kotoko supporter who was stabbed.
