Aduana Stars once again proved to be the bogey team for Hearts of Oak, defeating the Phobians 2-0 at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Stadium to stretch their unbeaten run against them to six matches since 2021.
Goals from Sam Adams and Abdel Latif Bamba sealed the deal for the Ogya Boys in front of their home fans, continuing a dominant head-to-head record that now stands at five wins and one draw in their last six meetings.
Ahead of the game, the odds seemed slightly tilted in Hearts’ favor due to their higher league position and better overall form, but it was Aduana who stepped up on the day. Despite sitting 11th before kick-off, they produced a composed and clinical performance to snatch all three points, moving up to 35 points on the table.
Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, continue to struggle on the road. With just one win in their last six away games, the Phobians lacked the attacking spark of Mawuli Wayo and Hamza Issah, who were both kept quiet by a well-drilled Aduana defense. The defeat sees them slip to 6th on the table with 41 points, missing a big opportunity to stay in touch with the top four.
