In a major boost to regional football development, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has presented brand new Nissan Navara pickup trucks to all the Regional Football Associations (RFAs) across the country. The initiative is aimed at enhancing mobility, logistics, and operational efficiency of the RFAs in their efforts to develop football at the grassroots level.
The presentation ceremony, held earlier this week, was spearheaded by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who described the donation as a gesture of appreciation and a call to greater action.
To our hardworking chairmen of the Regional Football Associations, I say thank you for your tireless effort in promoting the beautiful game, Mr. Okraku stated. These vehicles are a symbol of appreciation for your hard work and dedication. We believe that they will help you to be even more successful.
He emphasized the GFA’s continued commitment to developing football infrastructure and supporting stakeholders who work at the grassroots to nurture talent and grow the game across the country.
Let us continue to work together to build a brighter future for Ghanaian football, he said. A future that is built on strong fundamentals, a passion for the game and a commitment to excellence.
Mr. Okraku also used the occasion to call on all football stakeholders to rally behind the GFA’s mission to rejuvenate interest in the local game.
As we move forward, I urge all stakeholders to join us in our quest to bring back the love for Ghanaian football. Let us work together to create a football ecosystem that is inclusive, supportive, and nurturing.
The donation has been widely welcomed by the regional football leadership, who see the gesture as a timely intervention that will significantly impact their daily operations and long-term planning.
