Ghana’s U20 national team, the Black Satellites, ended their campaign at the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Cup on a high note by defeating Niger 2-0 in the third-place playoff.

The victory secured them the bronze medal in front of a home crowd at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The tournament, which kicked off earlier this month at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, has featured several thrilling encounters among West Africa’s rising football talents.

Ghana, as hosts, were determined to finish on the podium after missing out on a place in the final.

In Sunday’s third-place match, the Black Satellites put on a commanding performance against Niger. Goals from the young Ghanaian side ensured a convincing 2-0 victory to seal the bronze medal and give fans a reason to cheer.
