Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, both key figures for Ghana’s Black Stars, have experienced Premier League relegation with Leicester City following a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

The decisive moment came in the 76th minute when Trent Alexander-Arnold, returning from injury, scored after a chaotic sequence involving shots from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota.

The result not only confirmed Leicester’s drop to the Championship but also pushed Liverpool within reach of the Premier League title, with a potential celebration at Anfield looming depending on Arsenal’s midweek result.

Issahaku, a vital contributor to Leicester’s recent promotion, was sidelined early this season after just 11 appearances and two assists due to injury. The 21-year-old is undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return in August 2025.

Meanwhile, Ayew, who joined Leicester from Crystal Palace for €5.90 million last summer, remained on the bench during the loss. The 33-year-old forward has featured in 24 league games this season, scoring four goals.
