Medeama SC have sacked Nebojsa Kapor after a poor start to the campaign – and reports have suggested that his technical director, Evans Adotey, has been asked by the Yellow and Mauves chiefs to take interim charge of the club following their dismal run of results so far this season.
With the Bosnian being informed of the end of his tenure on Monday morning – he will leave the Tarkwa TNA outfit after one-year in charge, and as such, a new management team must be compiled.
As a result, the club will work on their next steps in terms of who will guide the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League champions in the future, with former league winning gaffer Evans Adotey – being asked to take charge on an interim basis, with the rest of the staff remaining in position for the time being.
Medeama failed to trigger a one-year extension option on Kapor’s contract earlier in the wee hours of Monday, but a disappointing start to the new season means that the club’s top brass have recommended a change, having held a meeting to discuss the Bosnian tactician’s future at the club.
Sunday’s 3-2 loss at Vision FC has been the straw to break the camel’s back, with the result leaving the Yellow and Mauves in 5th place with 21 points in the Ghana Premier League and with a real risk of finishing beneath the top-ten of the division if poor results were to continue.
