Felix Afena-Gyan Joins Juventus
Ghanaian forward, Felix Afena-Gyan has made a significant move in his career by joining Italian giants Juventus on loan from Serie B side Cremonese.
The deal, which includes an option to buy, was confirmed by his agent, Oliver Arthur, in what he describes as one of the most challenging transfers he has ever worked on.
The move happened in the final moments of the summer transfer window, with Juventus still needing to offload a player to finalize the deal. Despite the tight timeline, Oliver Arthur confirmed that the move has been completed, highlighting the complexities involved in sealing the deal.
Speaking about the transfer, Oliver Arthur shared his thoughts on the situation, saying, “As at an hour to the end of the window, Juventus still had to sell a player. Thiago Motta (Juventus manager) wanted the boy and he believes he can come back and make a difference. The craziest transfer I’ve done in ages.”
This move marks a significant step for Afena-Gyan, who burst onto the scene in Serie A with AS Roma under Jose Mourinho before joining Cremonese.
The loan deal provides Afena-Gyan with an opportunity to prove himself at one of Europe’s most prestigious clubs. If he impresses during his time in Turin, Juventus could exercise their option to make the move permanent.
Afena-Gyan’s move to Juventus also signals the club’s commitment to investing in young talent as they look to rebuild and compete at the highest levels both domestically and in Europe under new manager, Thiago Motta.
