The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially released the first batch of selected players from the Southern Zone for the second phase of the talent screening exercise for the Black Starlets.

The invited players are expected to report to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 4:00 pm.

This critical phase of the exercise aims to scout and assess promising young talents from the Eastern, Greater Accra, Central, Volta, and Western Regions. It follows a similar screening exercise conducted in the Northern sector a few days earlier.

Under the guidance of Coach Frimpong Manso and his technical team, the exercise seeks to identify the next generation of Ghanaian football stars who will form the nucleus of the national U-17 team, the Black Starlets. The team’s primary ambition is to prepare for success in the 2025/26 WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations and the prestigious U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The comprehensive list features standout players from various clubs, including US Avranches, Betymens FC, Attram De Visser, Berekum Chelsea, and Corinthians FC, among others. The selected players span all positions, from goalkeepers and defenders to midfielders and attackers.
