Ghana’s U-15 national team clinched the 2025 Mondialito Promise tournament title with a commanding 4-1 victory over Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv in a thrilling final held in Israel.
After securing two solid wins on the opening day — an 8-0 demolition of Maccabi Bnei Eilat and a 4-1 triumph over Maccabi Tel Aviv — Coach Yaw Preko’s boys maintained their dominance on Day Two. They recorded a clinical 2-0 victory over Maccabi Petah Tikva and thrashed Hapoel Tel Aviv 4-0 to seal their spot in the grand final.
In a rematch of the tournament opener, Ghana once again faced Maccabi Tel Aviv, and they made no mistake. Goals from Robinho Gavi, James Ofori, Ebenezer Adjei, and Abdulai Aziz Issah gave Ghana a comfortable lead before Maccabi pulled one back in the final minute.
Ghana’s impressive campaign was capped by winger John Andor, who was named Best Player of the tournament following his consistent and electrifying performances throughout the competition.
This triumph not only underlines Ghana’s rich tradition of developing elite young talent but also signals a bright future for the next generation of Black Stars.
