Ghana Premier League club, Heart of Lions, has distanced itself from the views expressed by striker Abednego Tetteh in his interview with Lawson TV.
The club in the press conference released after the interview which was signed by the management clarified that the views expressed by striker during his interview with Lawson TV are his own and do not represent the club’s stance, teammates, sponsors, or any affiliated members.
“Our attention has been drawn to a TV/Radio interview with our player, Abednego Tetteh, on Lawson TV/Radio this afternoon. As a club, we want to disassociate ourselves from the comments made during the interview by Abednego Tetteh.” The club said in the release.
The statement continued, “The views expressed are based on his personal beliefs and perspectives and should not be seen as an official position or endorsement by any third party.”
It added, “Any interpretations or actions taken based on this statement are solely the responsibility of the individual.”
Additionally, Heart of Lions confirmed that the club would address the matter internally through its disciplinary procedures.
