Hearts of Oak’s Ghana Premier League clash against Nations FC will now take place at Tuba Astroturf on Wednesday after the National Sports Authority (NSA) denied them access to the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) had initially scheduled the match for Accra Sports Stadium without securing an official agreement. The NSA swiftly responded with a firm statement, clarifying that the stadium remains closed for renovations following the Ghana vs. Chad 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Hearts of Oak have been without a permanent home venue this season, relying on the University of Ghana Stadium since September 2024. However, that stadium is also undergoing renovations ahead of the CAF African Schools Football Championship (April 21-26, 2025).
With both Accra Sports Stadium and University of Ghana Stadium unavailable, Hearts of Oak had no choice but to turn to Tuba Astroturf—a significantly smaller and less suitable venue compared to their usual home grounds.
