Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Kwasi Asmah has expressed his readiness ahead of their much-anticipated clash against rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The fixture, famously dubbed the “Super Clash,” will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium and promises to be another thrilling chapter in Ghana’s biggest football rivalry.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Asmah said,
I am prepared for the game and we are looking forward to the fixture against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The Super Clash is a highlight on the Ghana Premier League calendar, bringing together the country’s two most successful and historic football clubs. Both teams come into this match with mixed form.
Asante Kotoko currently sit 4th on the league table with 50 points from 29 matches, while Hearts of Oak are 6th with 45 points.
The first meeting between the two sides this season ended in a dramatic 1-0 victory for Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, courtesy of a late winner from Albert Amoah. Hearts of Oak will be hoping to avenge that defeat in front of their home fans and close the gap on their arch-rivals on the league table.
