Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe has revealed the deep passion and loyalty that fueled his time at the club, saying he joined the Porcupine Warriors not for financial gain but out of love and devotion.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, the former Black Stars forward shared how his journey with Kotoko began long before he wore the famous red jersey.

I have been a fan of Kotoko. I paid my dues, I used to go to their meetings and always dreamed of playing for the Porcupine Warriors one day, Bekoe said. When the opportunity finally came, I came to Kotoko to worship and play my best for the club, not for money.

This statement highlight the emotional connection many players have with local clubs, especially iconic teams like Asante Kotoko, who boast one of the largest fan bases in Ghana and across Africa.

During his time with Kotoko, Bekoe won the goal king in the 2007-8 season with 17 goals and also helped Kotoko to win the League that year.

His passion and work ethic earned him the admiration of fans and helped the club during key campaigns.
