Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President, George Afriyie, has stated that GFA President Kurt Okraku cannot serve three terms in office, despite his recent election to the CAF Executive Committee.

Speaking on Original FM, Afriyie emphasized that the current GFA statutes permit only two terms for a president.

The statutes do not allow three terms. The law can be changed, but Kurt can’t benefit from it. He said.

Okraku was recently elected to the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) during the CAF Extraordinary Congress. His appointment is seen as a positive development for Ghana football, as it ensures the country has a representative within the continent’s football governing body.
