November’s GPL Goalkeeper of the Month Nominees Announced
The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has announced four standout goalkeeping candidates vying for the Ghana Premier League Goalkeeper of the Month award for November.
The shortlist highlights the exceptional performances of Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare, Goldstars’ Emmanuel Kobi, Lawrence Osei of Heart of Lions, and Bechem United’s Dari Aziz Haruna, who excelled for their respective teams.
Benjamin Asare leads the pack after delivering a stellar month with three clean sheets, conceding just one goal across four matches. His unbeaten run included three wins and a draw, solidifying his team’s defensive strength.
Emmanuel Kobi of Gold Stars FC also earned recognition for his consistent displays. Despite his side’s mixed results, Kobi secured three clean sheets and conceded only two goals, contributing to one win, two draws, and a single loss.
Lawrence Osei of Kpando Heart of Lions stood out with an unmatched record of four consecutive clean sheets. His heroics kept his team unbeaten in November, with three victories and a draw propelling Lions up to third on the league standings.
Dari Aziz Haruna of Bechem United rounds off the list with a commendable unbeaten month. Haruna managed two clean sheets, conceding three goals as Bechem recorded three wins and one draw during the period.
The winner will receive a prize package from the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union, including a pair of gloves, a branded towel, water bottles, and a T-shirt.
With each goalkeeper showcasing brilliance, the decision promises to be a closely contested one.
