Three Premier League clubs have secured qualification to the last four of the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup after winning their respective quarter final ties over the weekend.
Nsoatreman, Legon Cities and Bofoakwa Tano are the three teams who have already booked a place in the semis awaiting the last quarter final game between Dreams FC and Soccer Intellectuals to complete the set.
Dreams were unable to honour the FA Cup game this weekend due to their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup quarters against Stade Malien.
Nsoatreman FC was the first club to book a place in the last four after edging Karela United 1-0 on Saturday, 30th March.
Eric Osei Bonsu scored the only goal in the game in first half extra time to send Karela United out of the MTN FA Cup.
On Sunday, at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu, Stephen Asare’s sole strike in the 56th minute was enough for Legon Cities was enough to overcome Bechem United in their quarter final tie in this year’s MTN FA Cup.
The last quarter final match of the weekend saw Skyy FC visit Bofoakwa Tano at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
The premier league side needed penalties to overcome the Division one side after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time and after extra time.
Bofoakwa Tano went through to the last four after winning 5-4 on penalties.
The last game to complete the set is between Dreams FC and Soccer Intellectuals which will be played on a later date.
In the semifinals, Nsoatreman will take on Legon Cities while Bofoakwa will battle either Dreams FC or Soccer Intellectuals for a place in this year’s MTN FA Cup finals.
