Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara did not mince words following his side’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Ouattara admitted his team was outplayed, saying,
Aduana FC played well, we didn’t play football today. We gave them all the chances to score us.
The Phobians were undone by goals from Sam Adams and Abdel Latif Bamba in a match that saw them struggle to find rhythm or consistency. It was a continuation of Hearts’ poor record against Aduana Stars, having now gone six straight matches without a win against the Dormaa-based side.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak in 6th place with 41 points, while Aduana Stars, buoyed by the win, climb to 11th with 35 points.
This result followed a concerning run of form away from home for Hearts, who had failed to register a single win in their last five away league matches. The loss further highlights the inconsistencies in their season, especially in big games.
