Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have tasked the Ghana Football Association to take immediate control of all security arrangements, the safety and security of individuals and property at all league centres in the country.

According to the two giants who “are deeply worried by the state of the league”, certain protocols must be put in place to avoid another senseless death involving any stakeholder at a league centre.

The clubs have requested for the immediate implementation of an autonomous league which will not be controlled by the GFA and the ban on sub-standardized facilities from hosting a Premier League game.

“The running of the league should be taken away from the GFA handed to an autonomous independent management body “as soon as possible”. Move league matches from stadia not qualified to host matches per standard requirements.”

They also demanded for a chunk of the revenue generated from TV Rights because majority of the games shown on TV are theirs.
