Former Black Satellites head coach, Krim Zito, has urged the Ghanaian media to show more patience with national team coaches, emphasizing the importance of long-term support over constant criticism.

In an interview with *Graphic Sports*, Zito, who currently manages Dreams FC, acknowledged the crucial role the media plays in holding coaches accountable but expressed concern that ongoing negative press makes it difficult for success to thrive.

He called for a shift in focus, advocating for long-term development programs rather than an obsession with immediate results.

“What is troubling the Black Stars? Why are we always looking for new players?” Zito questioned.

He pointed to the lack of consistency in the development of top talent from Ghana’s junior teams, attributing this to poor developmental structures.

“Our junior teams are not consistently producing high-quality talent, and that’s due to weak development frameworks,” he explained.

Zito also highlighted the media’s role, stating that their tendency to criticize coaches hampers long-term growth.
