Nations FC’s home invincibility broken by Chelsea

Nations FC’s impressive home record came to an end on Sunday as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.

Stephen Amankona’s 18th-minute penalty proved to be the difference between the two sides, breaking Nations FC’s 22-match unbeaten streak at home.

Prior to this loss, Nations FC, who got promoted to the top division last season,  had won 12 games and drawn 10 at their home ground.

This defeat has halted Nations FC’s momentum, as they had won their previous four matches.

The team has now slipped to second place on the league table, while Berekum Chelsea have climbed to ninth position.

As the league progresses, Nations FC will be eager to regain their winning form and solidify their position in the top half of the table.
