Felix Romark Tips Vision FC as Most Likely to Survive GPL Among Debutants
Seasoned Ghanaian sports journalist, Felix Romark has named Vision FC as the most promising and likely to avoid relegation among the three debutants promoted to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) this season.
Speaking on “Inside the Ghana Premier League” on The BAC Sports, Romark expressed his confidence in Vision’s potential to avoid the drop and establish themselves in the top flight.
“Among the three debutants, Vision stands a good chance of staying in the GPL,” Romark stated.
While Basake Holystars currently holds a higher position in the standings, it’s Vision FC’s quality of play and adaptability in the league that sets them apart.
“They’ve been playing wonderful football and rubbing shoulders with the big boys,” he added, noting Vision’s impressive performances against seasoned GPL teams.
The 2024-25 GPL season saw Basake Holystars, Young Apostles, and Vision FC earn promotion, marking a debut for all three clubs in the league.
While Basake Holystars currently leads the group, sitting in 10th place, Vision FC, positioned 12th with 11 points, has demonstrated a competitive edge that Romark believes will serve them well in the fight to stay up.
“Vision might be in 12th, but they have the qualities needed to avoid relegation,” Romark said, expressing confidence that the team’s resilience and playing style will help them stay out of the bottom zone.
Young Apostles, the third debutant, holds the 14th spot, also with 10 points, but Romark sees Vision as better equipped to secure a stable position in the GPL.
What’s promising for the three teams is that none currently finds itself in the drop zone, a testament to their competitiveness and determination.
As the season progresses, the spotlight will remain on these debutants to see if they can continue their momentum and avoid the relegation battle that often awaits newly promoted clubs.
For Vision FC, the outlook appears bright, with their fanbase hopeful that they can defy the odds and remain in the GPL. If they are able to turn draws into wins, Vision FC could be set for a successful debut season, firmly establishing themselves in Ghana’s top-flight.
