Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), George Afriyie, has taken a swipe at GFA President Kurt Okraku, criticizing his leadership style and the handling of football administrators within the country’s football ecosystem.

Speaking on Original FM, Afriyie expressed concern over Okraku’s decision to sideline a significant number of football administrators, labeling them as enemies, rather than fostering unity within the football fraternity.

He argued that this move contradicted the core message of Okraku’s much-publicized “Bring Back The Love”campaign, which aimed at restoring passion and unity in Ghanaian football.

Kurt’s mistake was removing half of the football administrators and branding them as enemies. What happened to the ‘Bring Back The Love’ message he promoted? Afriyie questioned.

Afriyie’s remarks come at a time when the GFA is under scrutiny, with stakeholders calling for better transparency and collaboration.
