Kotoko bounce back to winning ways after beating Aduana Stars in Dormaa
Asante Kotoko have finally snapped their four-game losing streak in the Ghana Premier League with a convincing 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars.
The Porcupine Warriors’ resurgence was sparked by a sublime free-kick from Patrick Asiedu and a well-taken goal from Albert Amoah.
The win has catapulted Kotoko to 7th place on the league table with 18 points.
Kotoko’s victory sets the stage for a highly anticipated Super Clash against their arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak on December 14 set for the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance. “I’m very happy with the win,” he said. “We’ve been through a tough period, but the players showed great character and resilience.”
“The goals were fantastic, and it’s a great feeling to be back to winning ways. We’re looking forward to the big game against Hearts.”
The upcoming clash between Kotoko and Hearts is expected to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams eager to secure bragging rights and gain a psychological advantage.
