In a move towards collaborative sports development, the newly inaugurated Governing Board of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has called for a introductory meeting with the leadership of all National Sports Federations.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 20th January 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Media Centre, Accra Sports Stadium.
This gathering marks the first official engagement between the new Governing Board recently inaugurated by the Honourable Minister for Sports and Recreation and the heads of National Federations. The primary aim is to introduce the Board members and create a platform for open dialogue and cooperation between the NSA and the federations.
In a formal invitation issued by Mr. Yaw Ampfo Ankrah, Director General of the NSA, each federation has been requested to send its President and Vice President or an appointed representative to attend. The notice emphasized the importance of the meeting and expressed anticipation for full participation.
A total of 59 national sports federations and associations are listed to attend, covering a wide range of sports from football, athletics, and boxing to newer disciplines such as e-sports, teqball, and flying disc. The list also includes bodies representing Para sports, deaf sports, and special Olympics, highlighting the inclusive approach of the Authority.

The NSA looks forward to this engagement as a foundation for strengthened partnership and shared progress in Ghana’s sporting fraternity.
