Ghana Black Stars and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been named the 2025 Footballer of the Year at the prestigious Ghana Football Awards.
Partey beat strong competition from Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo and Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams to win the top individual honour. This marks the third time the midfield maestro has received the award, having previously won it in 2018 and 2019.
In the 2024/25 season, Partey featured in an impressive 58 matches for both club and country, scoring six goals and providing three assists. His consistent performances for Arsenal and the Black Stars were key to his success this year.
In addition to the Footballer of the Year award, Partey was also honoured with the Football for Good award. Upon receiving the accolade, he said, “We want to do more,” highlighting his ongoing commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the pitch.
